I'm so glad that Htown StrEATs is back on the road after their recent truck issues.

These guys are assembling some very innovative combinations and really pushing the boundaries on great food.

Check out their recent menu. There are so many good things listed that is becomes hard to choose what to order. I chose the Korean cheesesteak with kimchi. The bread was soft and filled with thin sliced korean steak, sautéed onions, kimchi and provolone. It was a fun take on a Philly cheesesteak with a bit of punch to it.

The tweets from The Burger Guys once again lured me in for a couple of their new creations.

I must say that the salted caramel fries are INCREDIBLE! They are salty and sweet and crunchy all at the same time. How can fresh cut fries that are fried in duck fat and drizzled with salted caramel be resisted???  Really....can they????

Also, not to be forgotten is the well put together Dublin Dr. Pepper burger. It is stacked high with perfectly cooked Akaushi beef, Dublin Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, fresh onions, house made dill pickles, and jalapeños.

Off the Hook Catfish in North Houston is serving up big portions of perfectly fried catfish and shrimp at great prices.

Calliope's Po-Boy is serving up great po-boys and many other Cajun favorites. I chose the roast beef po-boy with gravy and their famous honey drizzled sweet potato fries.

Pho One in the Westchase District of west Houston offers some very traditional Vietnamese dishes at affordable prices. Shown is the Banh Mi Pate Thit and spring rolls. The banh mi is stuffed with homemade rolled ham with chef's special liver sausage all made with freshly baked french bread and dressed with homemade mayonnaise, chinese, radish, julienne carrots, onions, cucumbers, and hot peppers.

A true Texas original! Rudy's serves up great brisket, ribs, sausage, chicken, and various sides including their famous creamed corn.
