One of my favorite menu items is their Buffalo Burger. It is a 1/3 lb hand formed patty topped with all of the usual suspects on a whole grain bun. This big burger comes in at just above 300 calories and 8 grams of fat!

I ordered the Game Trio Sliders combo that included a Buffalo slider, a Venison slider, and a Antelope slider served with sweet potato fries and a house made habanero ketchup.
Some highlights were the pretzel buns and the habanero ketchup. The sliders were cooked perfectly and each meat had it's own distinct taste, even though the difference was very subtle.
I made a trip to the office this week and that means driving by The Burger Guys. It also means that on the way home at lunch time I had to stop in for one of the best burger experiences in Houston.
This time I chose the Lancaster. It is covered with sautéed mushrooms, onions and bacon, topped with swiss cheese and a slather of house made dijonnaise. And of course I added a fried egg. I never, ever pass up on the opportunity to add a fried egg to a burger.
Don't forget to try some of their homemade pies. I opted for the Coconut Cream Pie. It was one of the best slices of pie I've had in a very long time.
Of course I ordered the "cover" burger which is so named because it appeared on the cover of Texas Monthly. It is a green chile cheeseburger with grilled onions and avocado. My burger was an awe inspiring site and it did not disappoint.
Great local joint with Texas ambiance and great live Texas Music!
Back to Bernie's Burger Bus today for the Field Trip. It was the usual fresh baked bun with a hand formed Black Angus patty but topped with bacon, Texas cheddar cheese, chipotle aioli, and fried onion rings. In retrospect I should have added a fried egg and Jalapeños but there is always next time.
The Nasty Patti is a hand formed beef patty served on a jalapeño bun with caramelized onions, pepper jack cheese, chipolte mayo, and jalapeño relish.
